Ultra3 LVD 68-pin MicroD - Up to 320 MB/sec. with Ultra3 Devices!

68-pin MicroD to 68-pin MicroD LVD Ultra3 External Cables
68 MicroD(m) - 68 MicroD(m) 8in GD6811 $122.55
8 inches end-to-end
68 MicroD(m) - 68 MicroD(m) 18in GD9861 $132.05
18 inches end-to-end
68 MicroD(m) - 68 MicroD(m) 3ft GD8294 $141.55
3 feet end-to-end
68 MicroD(m) - 68 MicroD(m) 6ft GD5576 $160.55
6 feet end-to-end
68 MicroD(m) - 68 MicroD(m) 10ft GD1842 $189.05
10 feet end-to-end

When connecting external Ultra3/LVD, Ultra160, or Ultra320 devices to LVD/Ultra160/Ultra320 SCSI boards utilizing the 68-pin MicroD connector, the above cables will work wonderfully in any length. Fortunately, the SCSI-3 subparagraphs covering the LVD, Ultra160 and Ultra320 specifications grant cable distances far longer than most typical applications require. For example, Ultra3 buses can extend up to 12 meters.

With Granite's little green LED indicator, you can tell at a glance if termination power is present on the cable. These special LVD cables hold a forced impedence of 132 ohms, and are a perfect match with Granite's own 68-pin MicroD LVD/Ultra2 Digital-Active Terminators. If you are running the beastliest of Ultra3 arrays, these cables are the bomb.

Note: The 8-inch 68-pin MicroD Stubby is too short for any uses except those cases where an external Ultra2 or Ultra3 enclosure is directly stacked on top of another. When connecting an external Fast & Wide device to a JackHammer, Adaptec, or ATTO board, we recommend the 18-inch Shorty or 3-foot Standard 68-pin MicroD. For those situations where you are not running 40MB/sec Ultra devices, there is no need to invest in the Teflon versions of these cables. These gorgeous, yet lower-priced 20MB/sec versions are more than adequate for all but the most demanding applications. With Granite's little green LED indicator, you can tell at a glance if termination power is present on the cable. We recommend the 6-foot and 10-foot cables only in scenarios where you are certain that signal strength can handle the distance, for example in cases where SCSI repeaters are integrated on a bus. They are too long for use on most conventional buses. The Gurus also highly recommend that you consider using Granite's own 68-pin MicroD Digital-Active Terminator. If you are running Fast & Wide SCSI-2 drives externally off appropriate SCSI cards, these cables are lifesavers.

Teflon 68-pin MicroD - The Ferrari of SCSI3 Cables for 320MB/sec Ultra Thruput!

68-pin MicroD to 68-pin MicroD Teflon Ultra External Cables
Teflon 68 MicroD(m) - 68 MicroD(m) 8in GD8232 $151.05
8 inches end-to-end
Teflon 68 MicroD(m) - 68 MicroD(m) 18in GD6960 $160.55
18 inches end-to-end
Teflon 68 MicroD(m) - 68 MicroD(m) 3ft GD5310 $179.55
3 feet end-to-end
Teflon 68 MicroD(m) - 68 MicroD(m) 6ft GD3400 $229.00
6 feet end-to-end

Note: The Teflon 8-inch 68-68-pin MicroD Ultra Stubby is too short for any uses except those cases where an external enclosure containing an Ultra wide or LVD device is directly stacked on top of another. When connecting an external Ultra wide or Differential device to a JackHammer, Adaptec, or ATTO board, we recommend the Teflon 18-inch Ultra Shorty or 3-foot Ultra 68-pin MicroD.

The 18-inch cable is just long enough to reach an enclosure placed directly adjacent to the left-hand side of a tower or mini-tower Macintosh. It will not reach the right-hand side. The 3-footer is more appropriate if you need a little extra room to maneuver, and it's length, including internal enclosure cabling, will keep you close to the max bus distance limit for Ultra wide buses (4.5-ft), and leave you tons of room to breathe on a Differential bus.

If you are also using very long internal Teflon cables on the same bus, you may be right on the margin for Ultra wide buses, but when used with a Granite Terminator, Teflon works very well, indeed.

For those situations where you are running 40MB/sec Ultra wide devices or 40MB/sec Differential drives, there is no point in not running the absolute best cables ever made. These stunningly thick 40MB/sec cables are up to virtually anything you can throw at them. With Granite's little green LED indicator, you can tell at a glance if termination power is present on the cable.

We recommend the 6-foot and 10-foot cables only for Differential buses--and highly recommend that you incorporate Granite's own 68-pin MicroD Digital-Active Terminators into the mix.

If you are running Ultra wide or Differential drives externally off appropriate SCSI cards, there is no substitute for these cables.
