  Ready to run. The easiest way to add a couple of fast SATAI or SATAII drives to your desktop or portable Mac or PC. Combine with any external port SATA Host card, available on the MacGurus SATA Host Card page, and you can increase the storage and backup capabilities of your Mac or PC.

  Supports any SATA hard drives and any capacity (**see note). All current eSATA host cards are SATAII capable and this enclosure will work perfectly in concert with those. Removable drive trays allows quick drive swapping. This makes archiving your backups a snap. Trays fully surround the drive in a secure box when out of the enclosure for the greatest drive safety. Extra drive trays available at the bottom of the page.

**Note: Particular drive model and feature set compatibility is determined by the SATA Host Card. The enclosure has no direct effect on the features and bus specification.

Order with or without Drives

  Get your Burly with a couple of installed Seagate 7200.11 SATAII drives. These are the most reliable and fastest 7200 RPM SATA drives made today. We'll install them and test them before shipping. This is the best choice of drives for all your storage needs.

Optional LCD Trays


  Optional LCD Hotswap Bays available. These are the same high quality trays as our standard Hotswap Bays but also incorporate an LCD readout giving you direct monitoring of the status of your drives. Check the options button to add these to your order. The LCD monitors temperatures and has audible over-temp and fan function alarms.

Note: LCD trays will not work in standard bay equipped enclosures. The reverse does work, standard trays work perfectly in LCD bays. So if you have an LCD equipped enclosure you can purchase additional LCD or standard trays. If you have a standard tray equipped enclosure you can only use standard trays.
