  Lycom’s Firewire host cards are an excellent benefit to your computer’s storage performance resulting in enormous scaleability. This card mounts in any available PCI or PCI-X slot and supplies your desktop computer with two Firewire 800 ports and a single Firewire 400 port. It comes with a power adapter that attaches to your internal power supply to provide up to 1.5 amps per port.

This card makes a great companion with our line of Burly Hotswap Firewire Enclosures as well as the Burly Fixed Drive Firewire Enclosures. Easily mount an enclosure with up to eight SATA drives for your Video and Photo Archives. You can add more drives as needed by daisy-chaining Firewire Enclosures together. By using Firewire as the connection type you can easily share the same enclosure with a mobile computer for remote capture of your data.
