This card makes a great companion with our line of Burly
Hotswap Firewire Enclosures as well as the Burly
Fixed Drive Firewire Enclosures. Easily mount an enclosure with
up to eight SATA drives for your Video and Photo Archives. You can add more
drives as needed by daisy-chaining Firewire Enclosures together. By using Firewire
as the connection type you can easily share the same enclosure with a mobile
computer for remote capture of your data. Features and Compatibility
FIREVue™ FireWire 400 PCI Host Adapters
Granite Digital's
FireWire 400 PCI Host Adapter will run FireWire at speeds up to 40MB/s. This
unique design incorporates three 6 Pin
FW400 connectors. These boards support Plug and Play on and use the best
TI
chipset on the market for added compatibility.
Full 64bit/33MHz PCI buses are supported. Auxiliary power can be plugged
into the card to support up to 1.5 amps of power per port. The FireVue FW400 host card will not work in any G5. This is a 5 volt card and it will not fit nor work in the 3.3 volt PCI bus of the 1.6 and 1.8 GHz G5 models or the 3.3 volt PCI-X slots of the Dual G5 models.
